While I was contemplating my life choice to become an accountant, an orange fell from a tree and hit me on the head. I decided to peel it open and bite into its juicy flesh. It was undoubtedly one of the best oranges I have ever tasted (Navel, I think). It was then that I was hit with a sweet new outlook…
I could frame my career as a blur of monotonous drudgery, or bite into it segment by segment and view it as one of the most fundamental pieces of the working business world. The accountant takes the first bite into the sweet flesh of any new orange. This brought me to my peculiar, yet unmistakable assertion:
Much like an orange,
Accounting is fresh.
So live life to the fullest,
savor every moment,
smile in the face of adversity,
and if an orange ever hits you on the head,
peel it open and take a bite.

It's true... not everyone chooses to become an accountant. So, accountants have naturally learned to co-exist peacefully amongst those who have elected to take a different career path and obtain a degree in finance. We know these individuals as
